H20 Hair Colour saved my hair! I'd had some awful experiences with semi-permanent hair colours that actually left shades of blue or green in my hair....
Since starting H20 hair colour, my hair has had a chance to recover, and its natural light blond is showing once again. I'm very happy with the results. I highly recommend this product. I've also tried the Shea curl hair mask, and I'd recommend that also, especially for curly hair.
Thank you so much Debbie, that's wonderful to hear that your natural lights are starting to come back to your hair and thank you so much for recommended our handcrafted Shea Curl, it's definitely a favourite with the team too!
The application of this product was so easy to use. The video on the website was excellent.
I first shampooed my hair twice using a clarifying shampoo as advised and left my hair to dry thoroughly before applying the colour. The shade was a little bit too dark for my skin tone and it would have been better if I had asked for advice instead of diving straight in! However the colour had a beautiful warmth to it and following the next hair wash I would say that the colour had lightened slightly. It was never too dark that it prevented me from being seen out in the first place! The condition of my hair has improved significantly, it was dry and damaged due to using chemical hair dyes. I will never return to using anything but Natural Colour Works products on my hair in the future. I am extremely pleased with the outcome, just waiting on further advice regarding which shade to use going forward.
I really wish I had discovered these natural hair colours years ago!
Thank you so much for this lovely review as well Karen, we really do appreciate it and it's great to see you too. I'll show your picture to Scott and email you with some advice for next time.
Being a new customer to Natural Colour Works I thought it would be best to buy the starter kit. Obviously this includes a hair colour of your choice, either £12 or £10.80 subscription. The kit costs £17.94. Therefore the cost of the reusable tint brush, compostable cap and gloves (the gloves split the first time used!) amounts to either £5.94 or £7.14……..If I had thought about it I would have just bought the colour.
Thanks so much for taking the time to review our starter kit Karen. We put the kit together to give new customers choice to get everything from us (at a small discount, we don't do this one on a subscription) or to just order the colour and use what they have already at home. Ideally we would always love to just send you colour - better for you and the planet. Wonderful to hear that you loved the colour too - thank you!
I love this hair colour and the condition of my hair after colouring.
I am in my sixties and my skin does not suit lighter blonde colours so I mixed this with the medium blonde (7) and was very pleased with the result.
I have been using popular vegan permanent colours in medium blonde (natural and golden blonde) but due to their low hydrogen peroxide and over colouring of my wavy/frizzy hair my hair had looked over processed for years and easily went frizzy.
Natural Colour works really rejuvinated my hair and I believe this colour mix was very good with my skin tone. I have washed it twice and the colour on my roots is very good. I used two packets and put lots on my roots and when I covered most of my thick shoulder length hair I did run out slightly, but it was my first time and practise makes perfect I guess!
This colour is so good that I am ordering again. I will see how it goes with a second application and consider using a permanent vegan colour on the roots every two months and this on the ends every month, if that suits my needs - still much cheaper than my local hairdresser. It will take a little while to work out whats best for me!
Would recommend this product and probably even more so if you have less greys and if they have not been coloured already with a permanent dye!
Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us - we're delighted you love the colour and condition!
My hair looks in really good condition and very natural , with sun streaks . It is fun ! have never liked hair of a mono colour To avoid brassy overtones but keep the warm tint , I add a little medium ash blonde to the mix if there has been a lot of sun . If I curl my hair the streaks are emphasised and everyone likes them. I am an older with greying hair so it is challenging to fix on a colour that suits my skin colour and is not too harsh or uniform. I have fine medium length hair and tend to use about half a sachet for my roots rather than a whole head application .i probably redo the roots more frequently in the summer. It took a little time to find the best shades . I spend on professional cutting rather than colouring and the salon - a prestigious upmarket international company that boasts natural products - are complimentary about my hair and its condition. Whereas previously I used a French hair colourant - I worked in France for 11 years - and they thought it dried my hair . I live near the sea on an island so my hair gets exposure to rigorous weather. I use natural products wherever possible in all areas of life and switched to Natural Colour works after having a carcinoma removed from my face. .
Love your colour mixing Barbara, its wonderful to hear that you love the colour - thanks so much for sharing!
